But I should mention these two I have pictured where from two different lines of birds and that could be the reason why too.

This was the first time I processed different ages together so this was the first time I've ever seen this. I'll be keeping track for the future. I am going to hold back some of my next processing batch to age them until the next batch is ready to be processed to see if this happens again.

The older one was almost twice as old and it was the darker looking one.

I will be sure to cage some of my newest hatch in certain ways to see if it does indeed change the meat color.

I am not sure but I am guessing because it is older.
