My one paint silkie chick, all fluffed up now with her brooder buddy in the background. It has been a tough Spring so far for hatching chicks.😊

So here is little Eko. my one chick that hatched on this HAL, leaning up against the egg shell it just hatched from. Definitely a paint, has pink toes and is bright yellow but I can see the black spots throughout. Will post a cuter photo when s(he) is all fluffed up!🥰

Made safety holes in Eko’s egg. Small, but can clearly see the beak opening and closing!🥰 Little one is loud! Can hear it chirping across the room!🤣

Chicks do not do well by themselves. One chick with a hen is OK, but difficult when you are brooding them yourself.😊
