    Its expected. Always at least one per batch in my experience. There is usually someone that is not as preferred. keep me posted nothing is as nerve wracking as hatching ducklings, they take forever. We can talk about safety holes and wait wait wait.

    I lost power on my last batch and at 32 days it was garbage day and I went up to the barn to throw away my eggs. I had two duckling! It just took 4 days longer.

    Sorry, you may have a late quitter or two. This is normal. Just nature. I would candle at least every 3 days or so. You don't want a dead egg to burst in your incubator and make a mess as well as poisoning your live eggs. 100% hatch is rare. I've had one or two but its more likely you will...

    They are quietly enjoying their food and water in the brooder. But its only a matter of time. On another note, up my street are a pair of Egyptian geese and their 4 babies. They keep standing in the road so I'm afraid they will get squished.
