The chick isn't shrink wrapped. Everything you see going on is completely normal. Generally a chick that fails to zip within 24 - 48hrs is either stuck, or weak. I assist if no progress is made. In rare instances I've had chicks take 3 days to start zipping, so it's not always an emergency.
