. Hey PC! Where you been?
Oh...just trying to keep my head above water. Just finished up my LAST GRADUATE COURSE (can you hear the loud cheer of the crowd?), and my school will be letting out in two weeks or so. I can finally start to breathe again. Took Monday and today off for hatching. 17...
OK I'm trying to remember comments regarding my Cochin question.
He hatched Jan 11th. The Pond has unanimously dubbed it a cockrel. And I think it was Oz who asked about a parent pic.
These were eBay hatching eggs out of Georgia, and these were the pics from the guy selling them...
What's funny is that I've asked the question on three separate boards. One board says pullet. One board was a little snotty and said it was silly to try to sex because he/she was way too young to tell. And, The Pond says roo.
Looks like a cockerel to me. How old is it?
Also, cochins mature slower, right? And EEs I think mature fairly fast so that could be why he looks so much smaller!
But with the size of those wattles already I say definitely boy
Hatched Jan 11th.
So what do you think? Roo? Pullet? Supposed to be a LF Cochin, but I don't know. He/she is smaller than my EE chicks that are the same age. Planning on asking the Gender ID board, but wanted Pond opinions first.
Whoop-Whoop!
I'm exhausted. Been cooking and baking since 5:30 this evening. The cooking was a success; the baking not so much. Note to Self: do not try out new recipes when making candy for a fundraiser, especially the night before it's due early the next morning.
(Using your imagination...

Doing much better. Doc said I ripped the crap out of it so it's going to take awhile. I think my pro-football career is over though.

I like the zip-ties because I can see them at a glance. I'm not a breeder like you gals so I guess it's not a big deal...
