Yeah. I assume it was either sprained or the bacterial infection made him tired. And the exercises helped him :yesss:
Thank you! Was it not for your advice, maybe he wouldn’t have recovered. Thanks everyone:hugs:love
This is one of the best stories I read of ducks! You made my day! They’re certainly so adorable. Would love to see some pictures ♥️
Pasqual is doing very well. He’s so lively now and his neck gained its full range movement. He even re-entered his mating season :D
Thanks everyone for the...
My cat used to play with marbles and whenever Pasqual would find one, he’d put it in his mouth, unable to swallow it, he’d drop it on the ground, then my cat would get provoked from the sound it makes and plays with it throwing it to pasqual, pasqual would eat it and drop it and the cycle...
Thank you for your reply!
I never actually tried to give him leafy vegetables because I was scared he may choke, but I may try. Thank you for the list. I’ll try them all when their season comes. :love
Thanks all ❤️
Your hug reached Miss Lydia:hugs
His name is Pasqual (I’m calling the account with his name, I’m Ghazal😁) Btw, his name is on a character from the series Versailles :)
Thanks! I’ll try to give him some. I have good news. The range in which he’s moving his neck widened today, and he was able to clean the outer feathers of his wing (not yet deep under it). Also his eye hasn’t foamed in some days now. Thanks everyone for your precious advices:love
Wow! Never knew that thanks for the info!
That’s quite the story 😂 I’m glad it only went to blushing and not something worse. I will make sure to double-check the quantity I give him so he doesn’t glow 😆
About the red kale, I wish I could give him some. I always wanted his bill to be deep orange...
I understand, instead, your suggestion was in place. It’s good to know all possibilities to know how to approach the problem. He also looks like the ducks that have scoliosis so it may be right after all. I’ll try to encourage him to exercise. Just a question. Is it ok if he eats green kale...
I may have noticed it later, but if it had developed in stages it definitely wouldn’t take more than 2 days because for me he’s a special needs duck and my only pet so I keep an eye on him. I would assume he sprained his neck (maybe muscle because his neck is so active and flexible cleaning his...
He was a very normal duckling. Specifically, he was born on last year November, and this November 2/11 his symptoms appeared, so he obviously has scoliosis, no? I shall provide him with sunflower seeds.
Thanks for your kind words! I just feel sad seeing him try to clean his left wing and rub it but doesn’t manage to. He finished his course of antibiotic, the good news is that today he didn’t foam :)
I will do my best to make him happy, I try sometimes to turn his head to the left with my hand...
The thing is it’s very odd it appeared now, after he has been an adult for around 8 months now. If it’s scoliosis what can I do for him? Does he need vitamins?
Hello!
His eyes are better, but his neck is the same. He is generally more active and happy.:D
Thanks for asking :hugs
About his neck, he doesn’t seem willing to turn his head to the left side. When I try to let him look up by moving something in the air, he would just take a glance on the left...
thanks for your response. The two most prestigious animal hospitals here (with x-rays and stuff) don’t cure except cats and dogs. Here, they are not that much into falcons, but they love pigeons and make races nationwide with big prizes. I would assume there are avian vets, but they must be...
Oh 2003, good old cold days 😜 now it reaches up to 60°C. Your colleagues are spot on, when we drive it’s like we are in an oven.
Regarding al-shaheed park, I think they would allow him, but I am not entirely sure. I will pass and check. As for dogs, they are everywhere so yes, thanks for the...
Thanks:love I will do so. I just have a question. I found some grit here but it is for pigeons with extra calcium (oyster shells), and I know oyster shells are for laying ducks only. Will it harm to give him grits with extra calcium?
