IMHO & experience, chick coloring does not indicate anything about sex with silver spitz (unless you are doing a sex-linked cross w golds). Early indications of sex are waddles & horns w the boys, and wide, fluffy crests in the girls. Sometimes the boys are taller, faster growers with shorter...
This bird has some real nice potential. In a rooster for her, I'd look for a lighter (color & build) bird with a small white crest. Or at least that would be the goal match for her. She's got nice slate blue legs and looks like dark eyes. She's a nice looking bird!

Gorgeous pair!! I agree w Alaskan that the smuttiness can be tough to eliminate from the tail feathers. Will be nice to see the offspring of your pair.

Very handsome! Looks fantastic for 7 years old! I find my spitzes to be very nosey. Every time I'm out there working on their pen or whatever, they always have to come over to inspect what I'm doing and the materials I'm using for the job. :)
I love the Spitzhauben breed. I acquired some spitz eggs the first year I had an incubator bc I figured if I was going to go thru the trouble of hatching out chicks, might as well hatch out polka dotted chickens with Mohawks :D. I hatched out a few other breeds that year as well, but the spitzes...
