The 1st time I ever saw snow [Norway again] we drove through a mountain: bright & sunny one side, all this white stuff lying on the side of the road on the other. we argued about what it actually was until we could pull over & indeed verify it was snow.
Everyone waits together @ my vets too. After a big wind it's not unusual for there to be a line of people with fledglings that have fallen out of nests. the vets treat & pass them on to wildlife rescue.
