Our farm and supply store has been out of chick grit for awhile. I just resorted to getting some sand/pebbles around the house! Now they find their own outside :D How long does your TSC keep chicks? Im surprised when I hear feed stores still getting chicks! Our feed store gets them once a year...

Good morning! It rained a half-inch, yipee! It's so nice to wake up to the fresh smell of rain. There was quite a bit of thunder and lightening with the storms but no fires that I have heard of. Cooler weather= good day to clean the coop :p Hope everyone has a great day.

I would love to work toward not having to buy packaged or processed foods. Unfortunately, with as busy as we are, the convenience of getting packaged foods is what sets me back. I have been trying to make as many of my own seasonings now, which is kind of fun!

I wouldn't mind a roo if the others are all hens :lol: I've been thinking for awhile that my Buff Brahma is a roo too but lately I'm not very sure. Im very curious what will happen! They are 7 weeks old today so hopefully in the next few weeks I will be able to tell.
