    Hey my lovelies...

I truly appreciate the advice friend. Good looking out. Fortunately for us, we own the apartment. It has been in the family for 63 years. Let me tell u that u are 100% right though in that when u are renting there's a lot u're not allowed to do without permission...oh and BTW, odds of u getting...

    Hey my lovelies...

If u really want her to consider changing perhaps u could tell her that unless she starts taking the appropriate precautions as far as Covid is concerned u will be keeping ur distance from her...in other words, she'll lose ur friendship. Ur health comes first. Also, u might want to warn her...

    Hey my lovelies...

Wow. U gave me a big scare there. My eyesight isn't 20/20 anymore so I thought perhaps I failed to notice a missing toe but...no. thankfully, she has all her toes in place albeit a little crooked but they're all there. Hehe.

    Hey my lovelies...

Let's say I do go with this option, how would I go about finding a place for them that is safe, trustworthy and willing to take them in? I live right smack in the middle of the city...no farms around here.

    Hey my lovelies...

That sounds about right. Let me show u. BTW, the male also has this condition, only he can still walk perfectly.

    Hey my lovelies...

I actually don't need my landlord's permission for anything. I've already checked and keeping chickens in NYC is legal. The problem lies in building and creating the appropriate atmosphere for them to live in considering we are in a 3 bedroom building apartment. My main concern though is that...

    Hey my lovelies...

Hello and thanks for the welcome. Unfortunately, moving is not an option. So, I must find a way to make this work out of my 3-bedroom apartment. I was thinking of purchasing a prefabricated coop and run from online...along with the straw, pine shavings, dust, etc..., etc....Honestly, it...

    Hey my lovelies...

Actually by sick I mean that there's something wrong with her leg. The toes seem to be twisting in a strange position and so she has difficulty walking. I keep the quails in a separate flight cage. Perhaps u could tell me what's wrong with her and how I could help her. Thanks.

    Hey my lovelies...

I sometimes catch the one rooster pecking at one particular female and I end up having to remove her and bring her with me so that he doesn't hurt her. At this point I really don't know what to do with him. I hope he grows out of it.

    Hey my lovelies...

It's funny u mention potty training because I had just heard about that and was considering it until I realized that that would be way too much work especially being that I have 2 dogs and 2 quails to tend to. One of the quails blind and the other sick. Ay ay.

    Hey my lovelies...

Thank u Janie. So, 3 weeks ago one of them began crowing. As of today, it's just him crowing even though I suspect there are other roos. Curious though why the others are kinda quiet. Adding to the stress is the fact that that one rooster sometimes bullies the others...forcing me to act as...

    Hey my lovelies...

I'm from NY. New mom to 7 Silkies (10 weeks old). Love my babies to death and need to find a way to be able to keep them in my apartment. I know it's not going to be easy but where there's a will there's a way...I need ideas on how to adequately keep them despite of the unusual...
