Yes, I understand that. I viewed the thread as casportpony, logged out and logged in and both posted as both majormagic and peadawg, which should have sent 1 alert to casportpony, but it did not.

The article alerts won't go away unless I mark them as read. Some of the others go away, some do not.

Try going here: https://www.backyardchickens.com/account/preferences#alerts Select both of those & save, then de-select them and save again. After doing this most of my alerts disappear after I click on the bell icon.

Same for me in Chrome, Edge, Internet Explorer, & Silk.
