Speaking of loss of taste. I picked pears today. They look perfectly ripened, have the right firmness, smell ok, but are the most bitter mouth puckering sour thing I have ever tasted.

WD 40 is a great bar lure, but it has never helped me catch a fish.
I have used the fish attractants, they work as well as WD40 doesn’t. Unless the fish is attracted to black licorice.
I prefer live bait for most fish.
