My 3 from the eggs below. they are about 3/4 days old...I am thinking the dad must be a silky.
Below are 3 chicks. One (black) is related to the above chicks and hatched from the same fridge-farm eggs. 2 blonde ones are delaware's from a diff farm. (about 2 weeks old.)
From an even diff farm...
Day 22 the last of my 3 eggs was peeping up a storm, at 4 am, I ran upstairs to see it hatch and found it stuck! feet first and it's head out too!
I helped it out and it is back resting in incubator...
Second chick is out, "Jock-a-mo", small egg, waiting for one more. (resting cups not turner)
below is the shell...
Last chick's name will be... "Fee-na-ne."
Hatch day 21 Blue egg, "Iko" was out of egg when I checked at 5am.
Below are the other 2 one zipping, one in air cell no pips.
I just got these eggs setting today, top 2 from my avatar, the bottom 2 are OE and a CC maran, all covered by a BCM. Plus I just ordered NN/friz eggs.
My 3 are going into lock down tomorrow, they all have the nice drop down air cell...
They were in with some other eggs due on the 10th...
I have a good sitting hen, she will get the eggs due the 10th, she is not good with chicks, so these 3 can have the incubator for hatching, and then I can...
Kholts-His leg stuck way out. he layed down alot. if they try to walk around, and the leg is splayed, it gets worse. Especially if they try to keep up with the other healthy chicks.
I had a chick that was hunchbacked-limpy, I kept him separate until the next hatch one week later. He didn't have to keep up with the more active chicks and as the new hatchers were getting their sea legs, so was he. He ended up curing himself. Quazzy-
