My SLW today laid her FIRST EGG!!! My kids and I were so excited and can't wait until the rest of our little flock start laying.

My br chick this time has darker legs than my last two that ended up roo's. spot on its head feels similar to my others which has me slightly nervous. Ordered the br from mypetchicken.com. The chick is super sweet and friendly, so really hoping to keep it. : )

It's so true. Out of the four EE chicks I started with two were roosters.

I am REALLY hoping this barred rock is a pullet. My two other barred rocks turned out to be Roosters and couldn't keep them.

I was told Coal was a pullet when I got her. Used to have two SLW's but one was a roo (started crowing and everything) that I found a home for. My fingers are crossed though that Coal is a pullet. Coal is a really good bird. : )
