I bred a few litters as a teenager. I no longer wish to risk my dogs to make puppies personally. It does take a certain type of person to do that. I'm also in no shape to bend over repeatedly trying to corral puppies anymore.
I'm smiling away thinking about doggy snowplows. :lol: Most of mine will hide in the house when it gets really cold. It will be mostly me and Sunny the Aussie tending critters.
My dogs love snow. We only got a few flakes last night here. Shorty my pup was enjoying jumping in the air trying to catch them. It was too adorable. :lol:
Can you imagine waking up one morning and there's twice as many dogs as the night before? Good thing is when the extras go home your dogs may not even notice the extra pup. :)
Ours are confined to a run. We have an outside roost, and some choose to roost outside, even in winter. They are quite hardy and they don't seem to feel the weather like other birds too.
