A lot of wild birds in our area too. We've been touch & go with some of our flocks. We started buying vaccinated birds & have had better luck with them so far. I don't know if its a coincidence or if there's something too that.

I am. we're about 10miles from the beach as the crow flies, but much farther than that as the car drives. The soil here is not great, but we do get a fairly regular marine layer & occasionally when the conditions are exactly right, you can sometimes smell the salt. I love it. I want to move, but...

I have an entire menagerie here. Dogs, cats, chickens, ducks, quail, guinea pigs, a rabbit, a turtle & a couple goldfish that the turtle decided not to eat & grew to ginormous proportions.
I live in a tourist destination & all the animals have drastically cut back on the amount of people want...
I only keep one at a time. They stay in my house all year. They are very stinky & have to be cleaned everyday, but keeping them in the house makes them very mellow & more sociable.
Our last rabbit litter box trained herself, but the one we have now REFUSES to go in a litter box. It makes me crazy & defies all rabbit logic. They have been indoor pets, would let any stranger pet them & come out when you call their name. The first one we rescued from under my neighbors car...
