Might want to link them a few posts about integration to help them along. The fenced mini run you posted should work fine within an existing run, for the birds to begin the see but don't touch part of integration. If these are really going to become their birds, don't know how realistic it is...

Don't power wash or use any water on a wood coop. Really no point in "sanitizing" at all if they're moving their flock in with yours - they'll be exposed to each others germs as soon as they get there, through the soil, the air, etc. Hopefully your friends have some sort of integration plan?
