Today is hatching day for us!! Got 3 this morning, 6 eggs still under but with no pips. Fingers crossed!
Barnyard mix, so I have 1 yellow, 1 red, 1 black right now. :)
That's what I'm worried about too. That's why my broody is in the garage in a dog crate. Here's hoping flock reintegration isn't too tedious. Tricky stuff.
Barred Rock Rooster with RIR, EE, Americauna, White Leghorn. Nothing super fancy. Not sure how winter broodiness is going to go anyhow, but it's worth a shot I suppose.

I got 12 fertile eggs from a friend and put them under my broody girl in a dog crate in the garage to help with temps because it's in the teens Fahrenheit here. Never done this-- always did day-olds.
Here's hoping I get a chick or two!
