We currently have hatching eggs from:
Foley line BLRW's(Pen 1)
Sterling, Paul, Foley and Blue line BLRW's(Pen 2)
Black Australorps

Black australorp eggs are available. $50/dozen

BLRW's $60/dozen $100/2 dozen(shipped)

We always send extras(between 4-8). Eggs are marked, dated, kept in our kitchen, and turned 2-3 times daily.

Our shipping methods are as follows: we take a big box(say 14x14x14 for 1 dozen) and write "CAUTION GLASS LIQUID" on all sides. "Fragile" doesn't seem to do the trick for some postal workers, but "CAUTION GLASS LIQUID" is said to grab their attention, b/c glass isn't allowed in the automatic sorting machines, or x-rays.
Rough handling is also avoided b/c they don't want to be faced with cleaning anything up.

Next, we individually wrapping each egg in bubble wrap, then burying them firmly in packing material inside of a smaller box(say 12x12x12).
We then take the bigger box, and fill the bottom with more packing material, place the smaller box inside of the bigger box, then stuff the sides with more packing material, and finally--you guessed it-- cover the top with more packing material before sealing it up with multiple strips of packing tape.

Waiting lists are open. PM for availability.

Live birds are local pick-up only.

We have 5 heritage Rhode Island red pullets(5 months old), laying daily. They are from hatching eggs we acquired through Fred's Hens, from Ken Weaver(Weaver's Rocks). $20/bird

We also have 4 Rhode Island red hens(11 months old) from greenfire farm lineage, also laying daily. $20/bird

All birds raised organically on pasture and fermented feed from Azure standard.

Hatching eggs are not guaranteed in any way due to circumstances beyond the seller’s control such as shipping, handling, and incubation conditions. Fertile eggs can fail to develop and appear clear because of damage during shipping. While every effort will be made to provide you with fertile, well-packaged eggs, the seller will not be held liable for the eggs’ failure to develop or hatch.

Guess that's about it! Feel free to PM me. If you contact us through our site, be sure to mention BYC.

PS:
If you can only accept eggs that are shipped on a certain day(eg: Monday), please let us know when placing your order. Otherwise, we try to make sure to ship eggs on any day that will assure they do not sit at the post office on a Sunday or holiday.
