I'll be setting my very first batch of mille fleur bantam cochin eggs today as well!

I'm using my brand new Brinsea Mini Advance incubator and am a nervous wreck! I keep my house temperature at 50 degrees all winter ~ I live on the WI/MN border ~ and am wondering if that's going to effect my little bator's ability to function. It's got an auto egg turner and I'm wishing that there was a way that I could test it to make sure that it turns the eggs with the way they're sitting on the egg disc. I've got some "practice eggs" in it now to try to get things figured out before I put the REAL eggs in it, later this afternoon. I've marked an 'X' on the side facing up and have the bator set to turn them every 45 minutes so I should be able to tell if it's rolling them enough. Before I put the good eggs in the bator, I'm waiting for ONE MORE EGG from Candy...

I'll probably be living on this site for the next 21 days....

That is some wonderful weather to have to me anyway

We shall both be living here for the next 21 days so let me make some room

I'm using a Hoba-Bator.
Your cochin is beautiful! Will you be selling eggs later on? I'd love some.

Thank you!

I will be selling eggs. My little bator only holds a maximum of 10 and I've got two MFCs (mille fleur cochins) laying now so they will stock up quickly! I hate the thought of parting with ANY of the eggs but there's sure no sense in letting them go to waste!
