Can you tell me if this 9 week old is a green egger or an americauna hen?

I know we had ordered a green "egger" but I'm not sure if this one is it. We had originally gotten 5 pullets. Found out 2 weeks later that we also had a snake in the basement we didn't know about and 3 of the babies disappeared from the large tub they were in in the finished basement where...

    Not sure

So I got both of these lavender americaunas. Both have looked the same, one was always a jerk the other not. However, one has started what sounds similar to crowing but not exactly. I’ve seen both of them go after each other fighting so I’m just looking for confirmation before I exchange them...

    Green-footed new baby ❤️

Does anyone have chickens that have green feet? My new chicks are ameraucana and Marans so I'm not sure what kind of mix she might be. I'm excited to see what she turns out to look like.

Update pics of my 3 week old Lavender Orpington girls and their week old Americauna and Prairie Bluebell egger sisters

I put them all together last week. At first my lavenders were scared of the babies, then the babies were scared of the big girls. Now they live in harmony although the babies are super messy scratching bedding and food all over the place especially in the water!

    Americauna? Egg trouble

I was told Cinderella was an Easter egger when I bought her full grown but she looks like an Americauna to me. I know this is not the thread to post this but she has laid only one egg that had the lightest tint of blue to the point that it was almost white and since has only laid or should I say...

    Thought this was a hen..

Hen or roo? Totally thought this was my hen out of 4 straight runs.. but now the saddle feathers area is looking more bustled with narrow feathers coming in. No color leaking though. Black/dark grey americauna - probably a mix. Around 16 weeks old. Hasn’t crowed yet though. Please help!

Free range with coop for night

Hi everyone, I'm a newbie to raising chickens & also a newbie to East Tennessee. We just moved here a little over 3 months ago from Western New York. This will be our first time raising chickens. We have a rather unique set up in our backyard. It's fully fenced & then it's separated into 2 areas...

What is the feather pattern named?

I’m pretty sure she is an Americauna but I don’t know the name of her feather pattern. I want more like her (her sister passed away, she needs a buddy or 5) 😊 Any suggestions on the name, how to order or where to order live chicks like her would be greatly appreciated.

Available for Rehoming - 6x Male F1 Crosses in Beaufort, SC

I am aware that cockerels are a dime a dozen, but I wanted to make these boys available to anyone willing to rehome them. They were hatched out by a broody hen in our backyard, but the eggs came from a mixed flock of all pure breed hens and two roosters. There were two roosters in that flock...

    Americauna or Easter Egger?

Hi, I’ve been doing some research on my chickens and the feed store labeled these two as Americaunas but I’m wondering if maybe they are Easter Eggers? They are 6 weeks old and I hope they’re both pullets, my daughter has made them big pets that eat out of her hand. Let me know what you think

    True Ameraucauna? Hen or Roo??

Hi all! I got this girl as a day old chick from a woman who said her friend shows Ameraucaunas and gave her eggs to hatch. She’s about 9 weeks now. Do you think she’s actually an Ameraucauna, or an EE like so many “Americaunas” are? I was told she’s a Wheaton, which based on pictures, I also...

My Silkie x Americauna Mixed Hen with Pics

Hey guys! When my wheaten Americauna hen went broody, I searched around to see what the babies would look alike, as my grey Silkie roo was fertilizing. There wasn't a whole lot of information or pics, so I thought I'd share pictures with you. We had 3 eggs- one never developed at all, one was...

    Oh we got a layer...maybe?

So one of my Americaunas, Lollipop, laid an egg just before Easter and hasn't laid any since. Is this common? It's been about a week since she last laid. I've got all my hens in the run until around 5pm everyday and then I let them roam the acre, so I'm kind of ruling out that she might be...

    Hi from North Carolina!

Hi y'all! The name is Katie. I have been raising chickens for two years now and have loved EVERY second of it. What started as an original flock of 5 laying hens I found on Craigslist turned to a flock of 17 in less than my first week. :D It's safe to say I fell in love with them. My husband and...
