I know the common response is “too young to tell” but with all the BYC experts here I’m sure someone has a clue about my 2 Wyandotte’s! :) They’re both GLW but one has a ‘rare’ single comb. My initial thought had been that they’re both males ….. I really hope they’re not, but at 6 weeks old...

The chicken is around 3 months old. I got it when it was about one week old in October. I think it's either a black astralorp or black orprington. I'm not sure tho. Here are some pictures of it. Also, it was both black and white when it was a chick but when it grew older, the white dissapeared.

Here are pics of my current chicks almost 10 weeks old. Mixed breed. There are 5 of them: 2 all black, 1 black with brown/reds, a silkie & a mostly golden/reddish one. At first because of the combs I thought I might have 4 boys. Only the little black one has no comb at all. What do you think?
