Over the last month, I’ve found 3 dead hens on my backyard. (Not my chickens, but I do have chickens in secure coops.)
In each case, the entire bird seems to have been eaten except for some of the wings (and a foot in one case). In all three cases, the gizzard was untouched; other than that...
Can anyone help me identify this predator? It has a taste for eggs and chickens. CT (Connecticut) area.
Edited with new photos with a quarter to show size.
I found one of my chickens dead yesterday :hit
I feel awful because I let them out and then left which I normally never do but I figured my parents were home. I guess they either didn't know I was gone or didn't know they were out. Anyway, I was gone a few hours and came back to lock them up...
