Hi all, I’ve been getting some eggs I think have faded speckles but I was wondering if it’s anything else? It’s not every egg but I see it every now and again. The ones laying are silkie crosses but I’m not sure what with. I just want to make sure they’re speckled and not poor shell quality :idunno
I need to rehome 13 pullets. These hens are currently 16 weeks old and due to start laying in mid to late June. The following hens are available:
4 Easter Eggers (lay blue/green eggs): $40/each
2 Silver-laced Wyandottes (lay light brown eggs): $35/each
2 Speckled Sussex (lay brown eggs)...
Smaalands are another one of Silverudd's auto-sexing breeds. Their coloration is similar to the Cream Legbar although Smaaland's have no crest and their comb is small. They are notable among Silverudd's auto-sexing breeds because they have a tendency toward broodiness.
