[Zinnia-Hen]

"Ah, I don't think so," she replied in her usual soft, child-like tone of voice. "I am Fainne."

 

[Gerbil]

"Ah, well. It is nice to meet you. I left for a while, I am back now, however. Long story, um.." He side stepped a bit and tried for a smile, "It was a long time back, that I left that is. I am not making much sense am I?"

 

[Zinnia-Hen]

"No, no, I understand."

 

[Gerbil]

He half smiled and sighed, his voice slightly less rushed, "Yeah. You are actually the first I have talked to in a long while. A long, long while. Do you live here, on this beach?"

 

[Zinnia-Hen]

She nodded, her black mane bobbing up and down at the action. "I do."

 

[Gerbil]

"I remember it a bit myself, I haven't been away that awful long. At least I hope I haven't. Kinda hard to count out there, you know. I was pretty sure we would still be here." He morphed again and stood facing the sea.

 

[Zinnia-Hen]

Fainne nodded and turned to face the waves, which were rolling in and out to shore.

 

[Gerbil]

"Do you have a full name, Fainne?"

 

[Zinnia-Hen]

"Oh, uh, yes," she said shyly. "Fainne Enid Sjöland."

 

[Gerbil]

"And I thought Fainne was pretty, nice to meet you miss Sjöland. If I may be of service." He made a 45 degree turn and bowed, "at any time."
