BBQ the ducks. We also just figured out why I’m not getting very many eggs each day......stupid ducks are chasing quail around and eating them as quick as they are laid!!!!
I would stuff and roast them.BBQ the ducks.
That’s the plan as soon as we get back....the Rouen is still a bit too small and we ran out of time before our trip! I’m seriously considering cycling 2 Pekins through every 7 weeks until we have enough in the freezer! I didn’t realize they grew out that fast! We still have 7-8 bunnies to process and a dozen or so more quail when we get back tooBBQ the ducks.
I had a duck with a thing for quail eggs as well.We also just figured out why I’m not getting very many eggs each day......stupid ducks are chasing quail around and eating them as quick as they are laid!!!!
I had a duck once who would steal kibble out of the dog kennel. He could fit his head through the fence wire and grab it out of the bowl. To be fair the dog would run in the duck pen and eat the cracked corn though too.I had a duck with a thing for quail eggs as well.
