@perchie.girl

We've had Hughes Net for almost 10 years now and the best that I can say is that it is OK.

You probably won't be able to stream movies and you'll find yourself watching instructional YouTube videos after 2 am to take advantage of the Bonus Minutes that Hughes Net offers from 2am to 8 am.

Downloading pictures and documents on email is pretty good. But storms often knock out your service so be prepared for that. Make sure you can access you dish to keep it clean etc.

We use Verizon for our cell phones and don't have a home phone so I can't speak to Hughes Net on phones.

Not great but it doesn't suck either. Good luck!

Thankyou... Verizon here doesn't make it through the mountains of pink rock around me. I need Life alert or something similar. Fire department response time is most excellent so If I fall they can come scrape me up off the ground.

Our storms are in the form of wind. We dont get dust storms like in the deep desert but we can have pretty good wind gusts. My son got out of the car at the casino and the wind took his glasses off and blew them into a canyon. Thankfully a grounds keeper saw the whole thing and scramble down to get them.

Trip to ER last night did not get a reason to my vertigo
not heart or BP nothing in the blood :confused:
Vertigo is sometimes hard to track down once you rule out the usual suspects. My meds make me wobbly.

Inner ear infection Or sinus issues Taking a fall and messing up the tubes in your ears that handle your sense of up and down. They hold little granules that if get displaced mess up your equilibrium. They usually go back in time but sometimes you have to have a Doctors assistance. I had a work mate that happend to.

Good luck Sorting it out.

Now that is wind storm Perchie
Yeah you have to be careful how you park or you cant easily get the doors open. Not flat enough where my house is to cause those kinds of issues but there are small canyons about twenty feet deep or so that the wind funnels down and concentrates speed like water through a gorge. it swings up and hits the house and makes the screens screem. pulls the door off the outhouse and tears solid gates off their hinges.

When i get home I am replacing all gates with either Wrought Iron or Framed Cattle panel wire. Trim the panel the right size and frame it. I have two gates that need that treatment.

When I rebuild the Coop making it into a poultry house I am considering building wind baffles on the two sides that will face the prevailing winds. Summer time and most of the year they are predominantly from the east or from the west. Then I will have gust protectors inside the chicken partitions to protect them when the wind comes around odd directions.

Thank goodness I love the wind.
