My daughter’s pet chicken died and she's broken hearted. It was a purebred Americana, we have a Silver Laced Wyandotte brooding right now, and would like to
ADD an Americana egg to her nest. We have no rooster so we've given her golf balls to sit on and she's quite happy on Titlists’, Nike's and Top Flights. We'd like to "kill two bi" strike that, we'd like to mend our daughters heart and let our Wyandotte be a Mommy too. We'll pay for one pure bred Americana egg.

Sad Dad.

If you're shipping eggs in it's best to buy at least 6. Shipping does a number on eggs and not all will hatch. Usually 50% hatch rate is great.

did it come from a hatchery? if so they don't sell purebreeds. the reason I am asking is I can give you some but right now my colors aren't separated.....there would be a chance though as my ameraucana roo is a blue wheaten and there are 3 wheaten/blue wheaten hens....just dont' know for sure which are their eggs..

if you put your location you may also be able to find someone local...

Thanks for responding, actually we bought them from a pet store, so I can't say they're purebred. I'm not one to look a gift chicken in the beak but let me talk to the wife first, she'll know if our 7 year old has to have a "clone" She's been beside herself, we bought four chicks last July, the Wyandotte, a Buff Orphington, a Rhode Island Red, and the Americana. Macy Named them all but called the Americana her baby. We know hatch rates aren't 100% but we live in the City (Huntington Beach, CA) and don't want to provoke the neighbors with too many chickens. Four was just right.

Thank you for the offer, that's very kind.

Macys dad I have a Blue Wheaten Roo and a Wheaten Hen. I can tell her eggs easily because they are in with Buff's. Let me know and I could send 6 at the most, because I only have one hen.

most likely an easter egger, they are a mixed breed that lays a colored egg. If you had a pic someone might have one that looks similar. There are quite a few people here from California too

OMG we are in the high desert!!!! We could meet halfway and the eggs would survive the trip MUCH better than shipping them!!!!
