I've got a problem. We moved to a home with pay as you go electric. Well, we have only been here a week, spent £50 on electric and last night an egg pipped. This morning of course the stupid electric cut off in the early hours.
I woke up to 2 quail chicks nearly dead from cold (stiff and frozen on the floor) & one chicken chick hatched. The rest of the hatch was dead in the shell.

I'm in the uk where you can't just order chicks or go the pet shop or buy online, so I've had to put the chicken (male) chick in with the 3 day old quail chicks (we have 6).

Will it be ok with the quail for company?

Its been copying the quail but seems confused by the quail behaviour. They are Jumbo coturnix quail.

    Advice please.

P.s I have already looked for more chicks locally :(

Yes, as long as the quail are older and don't pick on him it will be fine. later you have to be careful about exposing quail to chicken poo, but when they are tiny it seems to be fine. Younger quail do not do well with older chicks, the chicks tend to think they feet look like food. But the oppisite works
