Was wondering if anyone has any ideal what could have gotten by buffy, she was in the yard when I got home, just a little blood and a few feather but she was whole, it happened around 9:00 a.m., and then a couple of days ago around 4:00 p.m. I heard all my hens clucking up a storm, and feathers all over something almost got my white leg horn which is also 14 weeks, was wonder if it could be a snake I saw a black snake in the yard good size one.
If anyone has had this happen to them please let me know.

Realistically the possibilities are endless. It is very unlikely that a blacksnake could harm birds that age and size, but there is a myriad of other predators that might.

My best advice to free range minded folk (like I happen to be) is to either have lots of time to watch over the flock, or have lots of flock to free up your time.... It is hard trying to give birds the "perfect" life when our own lives are so darn full... Good luck in finding the villain.
