here's the story... I had a broody hen sitting on 4 eggs, she ate 2 of them when they hatched
I managed to save one chick, who is doing really well, and there was one remaining egg under the hen... I fired her (I felt like frying her
) and quickly set up a simple incubator with a garden heat pad, and over-head heat lamp... kind of crude, but the temperature is at about 97° F and the humidity is around 70 - 80%...
no sign of movement for the last couple of days, my question is - is it wise, or safe, to candle it at this late stage, it's at about day 21 or day 22?
