1 month and a half EE/Brahma mixes gender

So, really they’re a week away from being two months but I didn’t feel like doing the exact math. One, the for-sure male, is a maran/brahma, but the two in question are EE/Brahmas. I’m hoping that they’re both pullets based on how fast the male is developing but….

The barred is the male. For some reason, the blue/red one (Cinnamon) was being shy.

It’s weird because the person I got the eggs from has started hatching large batches of this mix and none of them have a similar coloring to either of those. I’m guessing Cinnamon got some of the blue laced red gene since two of the roosters had that pattern.

Yep. You get lots of interesting colors and patterns with mixes.

How does the blue/red one look now?

I’ve actually recently moved to a college dorm and I haven’t seen them in a couple weeks. I will say that based on coloring alone, I think it’s a pullet. The person I got the eggs from has some birds a little younger than mine and one of them is the same color/pattern and the red is a lot darker and the comb is a lot redder compared to mine so maybe??
