1 month old chicks

    Well the first group of OTF(on the farm) hatched chicks have officially become part of the barn flock. There are some occassional head pecks from the older hens, but nothing serious. Not sure what will be happening with the cockerels(whether I will be selling them or raising them for the table).
    I have the first orders for chicks. The first order is a FREE wedding present for a couple at my church(5 pullets & 1 cockerel), and the second order is from a couple that is willing to pay $4-5/chick... because my family will be paying for the first few weeks of their life.

    So, the first official sale from my family's farm will be $24-30 for 4-5 pullets! [​IMG] [​IMG] [​IMG] [​IMG]
