I have 17 chickens and 3 turkeys can I put the turkeys in with the chickens? If I do what will be the problem? Do I have to make a seprate pen for the turkeys? They are wild turkeys eastern and rio strain. The pen I would build would be 12x 8 and 4 ' tall . I really would ike to know how good turkeys and chickens go together! if at all

My primary concern would be nutrition and size difference. What kind of chickens are you getting (bantam or standard)? A turkey could easily injure a chicken without meaning to. They can also get pretty aggressive over territory sometimes, especially toms confined with roosters. Turkeys also need higher protein food for proper development than chickens. Just a few thoughts to consider.
