I'll start off by saying that King Silkie is the most robust Rooster. Always energetic and bossing around the girls. We have had him and our other hens for 5 years, no health issues- until today. My mom went to feed the chickens and King Silkie was NOT himself. Flopping about, acting drunk. So I went and read about Marek's Disease but I can't tell if it affects older birds.. Everything I've read is pretty inconclusive. KS is laying with one leg kind of tucked under him and one leg back but his legs are clean and he did eat from my hand. He is alert, but he just can't walk or stand. He doesn't get a special food, just his scratch and the layer pellet mix with occasional oyster shell. His poop is watery also (I read pretty much every post available on here in my google searches and I can't figure this out!). The girls are acting GREAT. All acting fine, all eating, none of the same symptoms. I know he probably won't make it through the night, but I am still wanting answers to this.
