I have a a german spitzhauben that is a little over a year old. She always had a real nice, easy going loving personality. She was my little lap chicken. But the last 3 weeks she has become really aggressive towards my husband and me, pecking at us all the time and not letting us hold her. I dont understand the change in her. Any ideas? Nothing traumatic had happened until Sunday when one of her "trio" died. any advice is greatly appreciated!! Thanks!!

Is she sitting on the nest? If she is then she's gone broody. [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

Huh. I don't know. [IMG] I've heard that roosters sometimes change personality at a year and become aggressive so maybe that's what's happening with your hen.
