Hi there! Hope I'm not repeating any current threads. I have 7 hens (2 buff orps, 2 Easter Eggers, 2 Wyandottes, and 1 black sex link) that are just now hitting 1 year old. The Easter Eggers haven't laid in little over a week, and now we are down to only 1 egg a day (not sure who is laying it). Also, Wyandotte's have lost many/most of their fluffy butt feathers and the others have been randomly losing some wing feathers. I don't see any other signs of illness, or change in appetite. We feed them very well, have clean water and such. I checked them for mites (although without a magnifying glass), and didn't see signs.

Is it possible this is a molt? I thought they always molt starting with head and wing feathers?

it could be a molt!! Rememebr, that is where the molts USUALLY start! So, they can start anywhere and be at any time of the year! So, it would most probablt be a molt!
