I didn't notice until today that one of my 10 day old turkey poults has crooked toes on a each foot. So I made a bootie with painters tape (since it is less rough than duct tape) and a coin. The little one as definitely unhappy with the booties. But is ten days too old to fix it, have the bones and ligaments mostly set? And if it is not too old, should I change the booties every 2-3 days for a few weeks until there is improvement? Will the other chicks pick at the booties? I noted the toes earlier today, and pulled the sleeping chick from the dark brooder just a few minutes ago, did the job, and returned it with the others. So the others will notice in the morning.

I feel told a bad chick mama that I hadn't seen the toes, or else I would have fixed them sooner.

It could be, if the chick is having a problem with absorption. All the poults are eating gamebird starter, and this is the only one with toe problems.
