Button quails hatched!!!
I had better results from my homemade incubator than from the LG.
10 out of 11 Teeny tiny little buttons hatched!!
Of course I have to admit the eggs were not shipped eggs. They were from my own 2 pair of buttons.
My homemade incubator is just a styrofoam cooler with a 25 watt light bulb and a dimmer switch attatched to the light bulb to control the temperature.
I rigged up an egg turner with a kite stick going thru the cooler so I dont have to open it to turn the eggs, Just turn the stick.
and a piece of fish tank tubing in a small hole that goes into a bowl on the bottom to add water thru as needed without opening it also.
Its not pretty, but it did a good job!!!
