10 week lavender ameraucana gender

    I go back and forth on what gender of chicks these are. They have feathered very slow as I've read was the norm for them. Opinions welcomed.

    How old? They look like pullets to me.

    There isn't even a hint of red on their comb. We had another one that didn't make it. It was a lot smaller but had longer tail feathers so I was worried that was my pullet and these were cockerels. Hopefully it was just a runt. The darker headed of these two has pretty much no tail feathers going on and the lighter one has more of a fluffy poof at this stage.

    They are a good looking pair. Roosters are usually darker in coloring compared to pullets, so my guess would be the one you lost was a rooster.
