Mine crowed around 5 months.Ok everyone! He is 10 weeks old now. Cockerel or pullet? I still think cockerel based on comb, but no cock-a-doodle from him yet.
Thank you! I will keep an ear out for the broken party bus hornAlso, the first crow is not a “cock-a-doodle-doo” more like a dying party horn that got ran over by a car. (It clears up a lot after a while, or mine is anyway. But that first few, yikes.)
I think so too! His tail feathers are not as “silkie” as his sister. Hers look like a little cotton puff and and his look like baby rooster feathers. He is also very bossy and steals snacks from the girls!Definitely cockerel, some roosters take forever to crow. my BO didn't crow til 4 months old.
