This is a buy it now and ship the week of 6/15/2015. Welsummers are laying very well and expected to continue to do in the future. Any change in their patterns and you will be notified of this:) Anticipate being able to fill two orders this week. 10+ means you will get a minimum of 10 Welsummer eggs (and more if available the day of shipping) We enjoy the nice brown tones of the Welsummer eggs - with their variations of browns and speckleds, some speckled and some not. Welsummer eggs vary in coloration according to when laid in the laying cycle. Like Marans eggs, the Welsummer Hens "refill" their ink at the beginning of the cycle. We like the Welsummers for their gentle disposition, coloration of feathers and eggs and also those wonderful large eggs they produce. We NOW carry Whitmore farm lines acquired from Bethele Plantation from one of our BYC members as well as a full order of Whitmore babies ordered 2013 ordered directly from Whitmore farms which are now laying!

Here is another picture of their eggs as well. Whether or not your eggs are speckled will depend on who is laying:)

Heating pack helps keep temperatures stable as they travel in unheated trucks or may wait on tarmac for airplane travel. To buy or not to buy is up to you:) Please disregard comment below, comments are carried forward when we renew our listing. We wrap and ship carefully but do not guarantee hatch rate or replace eggs as shipping and incubation/brooding is out of our control. For details on how we ship eggs, please see last line.

Shipping is described in the reference at the close of this listing. We carefully ship as if lives depend on it, because they do. We do not use prepaid boxes as you will see from the illustrated guide. But no matter how carefully we ship, we do not guarantee hatch rates or that no egg will be broken, since once they leave our hands, we are not responsible for handling or incubations so we do not replace eggs.

Blackgum, here is picture of the eggs that are sold for tomorrow's pickup. Hope this helps you. Every week is a bit different on laying and as you know Welsummers do lighten over time. Some of the ladies have been laying longer than the others. I'll be glad to answer any other questions you might have. Have a blessed evening.

We just hatched out a dozen of these little darlings. 12 went into lockdown and 12 popped out of their eggs like popcorn! When a good portion of our shipped eggs from various sources are failing, these were a very nice and welcome change! The egg color was wonderful and the chicks are very hardy and cute. My son, who has been dying for his own flock of Welsummers, was delighted. As always, I highly recommend Bargain's eggs.
