My 11-week-old SLW pullet decided that it would be a good morning to try out crowing. I assume this means she is probably a rooster, but I guess I'm still holding on to the hope that she's just a dominant female who decided to test her voice box. It was not a terribly impressive crow, but it WAS a crow. Still, I've been reading up on crowing hens so it sounds like this can happen? Anyway, if she's a rooster then she'll have to be dinner since my town prohibits roos. That would be sad since s/he's so beautiful! What do you think: male or female? I appreciate your evaluations since this is my first year with chickens.
