Here are my 12 babies getting settled in. 3 of each breed. BO, BR, Golden and Sliver Laces Wyandottes!!!! LOVE them. They grow sooo quick. My first flock of 9 are 5-6wks old now.

In the second picture, what's with the pink/purple feathers?

What breed are the black ones with the lighter colored patches on the back of their heads? I got some exactly like that as extras (probably roos) in an Ideal order that came this morning. Also, why do some of them have red coloring on their heads; did you have them marked so you could tell which were the males?

I love their little hatchery dots, very chic. Or should I say chick

The ones with the white and yellow dots are the Barred Rocks---the pink or red spoltches of feathers are the marking dots from the hatchery--so they can kep track of the chicks when they are counting and separating the order for shipping--it eventually wears off.

Too cute! The chicks with the pink color mark on their heads are usually the packing peanut extras.
