We have been blessed with healthy and beautiful Easter Eggers but one of my roosters is a beautiful purebred Lavendar Ameraucana Rooster from Harry Shaffer lineage whose name is "Sharky". I had so hoped to be able to get him some purebreds Lavendar Ameraucana pullets or hens last year as many of you as I posted WTB after WTB....But since none were available so I didn't want Sharky to get discouraged or any lonelier, so I changed my search for EE eggs And hatched babies that are now laying Hens They have pretty colors and are very interesting. Sharky and the other roosters are doing their jobs!!! The babies that I hatched from Sharkey's pen have been beautiful. Some with heavy bluish lavendar colors and one that looked just lavendar chocolaty. I have sold the hens from my second pen so the eggs in this listing will only be eggs from Sharky's pen

Anticipated ship is week of December 5, subject to timely payment & any laying pattern changes, which is not expected!
We did not get a chance to move around Sharky to his new flock due to our rain pattern in GA.... So he's still in with the same crew. Hope to be able to move him soon to his Lavendar Ameraucana girls....

I have not moved Sharkeys to his pen of hens as some are newcomers to our farm and must be kept in isolation for a few more weeks. I can barely wait to See Sharkey with his pen of Pure Lavendar Ameraucanas.... Patience has its rewards or GOOD things come to the faithful and kind Roo who waits!!!! So pure lavendar ameraucanas are on the way......Wahooooooooooooooooo!!!!!! Thanks to all who have been helpful in this project

Pictures below of sampling of eggs - Flash is stuck "on" on my camera. This pictures is many many months old and the eggs have lightened a bit since it was taken:

The light one is a white leghorn and then a marans is the dark one in this photo

The 12+ means I will include extra eggs if available. (The hens in this grouping will soon be turned into my Olive Egger pen later in 2011, so more interesting developments from the farm.)

For this listing we accept Paypal, no e checks please as they delay sending of eggs! Shipping in 48 US continental states. If you live in Hawaii or Alaska, please contact me for your shipping rates as it is higher than any others and the time to receive may be slightly longer

The shipping is average based on our shipping rates. We ship eggs in the same way we would like to receive them. We bubble wrap each egg separately, putting in a regular box (not an egg carton) which is then cushioned and set in a larger box. These are not the prepaid priority boxes but we use the large boxes that can be ordered through USPS as the standard mailing box. Our mailing costs can often be higher than the prepaid boxes but we find that they arrive in better shape, so it's well worth the extra time, packing materials and shipping costs. Occasionally with a large order, we will use an even larger outside box. After carefully preparing you package we drive your eggs to the Post Office, where our local post office sets the egg shipments to the side to protect them. They are then placed on the truck on the top of all the other boxes! Even as carefully as we ship, we cannot guarantee that there will be no breakage in transit. We do not guarantee the percentage of your hatch your hatch as many factors such as the incubators temperature and humidity, etc are very variable. .We will provide assistance to you during the hatch and help in every way possible to have the best hatch possible.

Payment for this listing will need to be through Paypal in order to ship on time!

PS...I had a mother of young children ask for these EE eggs to encourage her children to eat their breakfast. The 5 year old grabbed one of the eggs and rocked it and smiled at me and said, "Oh you painted this for me, thank you, Miss Nancy!" That really made my day!

Quote:Hi Mahonri, nice to see you bidding out here!!!![IMG]

My shipping method has changed a bit since I sent you eggs several years ago.........

This describes how we ship eggs (it's under by avator and then go to the blog!
    https://www.backyardchickens.com/web/viewblog.php?id=8875

Using the # 4 box I can only get about 14 eggs in there for our standard eggs..... I pack it all up in a Number 7 box.....

I ship "weighted boxes"not the flat rate boxes (I don't like to send these as I had 4 boxes shipped and got no hatches at all..and a nasty mess to clean up....I tried to hatch the eggs that had been coated with yolk and nothing at all hatched...to The Garry Farm.they often arrive here with broken or scrambled eggs just horrific to me. Our way of packing cost more in padding, and time but I'm convinced it makes a big difference on the hatch rate.. It is a much more expensive proposal...Since I have to go to buy a 12 by 12 box, (which will cost $ to buy in our small town.....last time I bought one for $4.89 plus taxes)plus weigh more - pushing me often into the next pound. I actually weighed 2 identical boxes when I sent the last 12x12. Factoring the cost of buying the size of purchasing the new box, the added weight of it and the inner box (has to be big enough to accomodate 2 dozen+ eggs and the rounding up of the po of any fraction over... The cost savings was almost nill..I believe it was $1 or so,,,,,I'll need to go check my records.

What I do not like is the rounding up of USPS to the next pound.....It doesn't seem appropriate.... In school decades ago, we were taught to round down on some numbers and round up on the others. I wish the post office would revert back to the actual weight charge....(Sorry for the long treatise here. But just wanted you to know our new shipping system.... Pm me please if you have any questions and have a blessed day...Nancy
