Hi i got my fisrt chicks from my home made incubator.I had a few problems, the bulb burn out 2 times ,the light was to close to the chicks.I`m am upgrading to 2 lights maising the lights and instaling a small pc fan for uniform temperature. But we learn from our mistakes.

I made one just like that but we had such a problem with chicks coming out with leg problems that we finally gave up and bought an incubator. I am glad yours worked well for you! What kind of chicks are they?
