Hey all
This is my 13 week old Columbian Rock. I’ve been certain she’s a female for the past weeks, but now I’m starting to question that because her comb and wattles have started to develop very quickly. Her brother has had wattles and a red comb longer than hers since week 4, while she has had a pinkish yellow comb with very little wattle growth. Just in the past week, her comb and wattles have grown to nearly the same size as the rooster. She’s also been clucking since week 12 while the roo has been clucking since week 9. Is she still a she?

Girl.

Awesome. How can you tell?
Good tells of rooster vs hen is 1) the comb is still pink and small at that age 2) the saddle feathers are round, not pointy as they’d be if it were male and 3) no long pointed tail feathers are growing

If it were male, they would be veeery big and red, and saddles would be there.
Really? My roo’s wattles and comb aren’t very much larger. I know he’s a roo because he has a lower voice and has been clucking instead of peeping for much longer, he has bigger spur bumps, and has a more aggressive temper
