13 week sex link

    Hello. I have posted in the past about my chicken. I was told she is a hen, however, recently she has been acting aggressive to the other chicken and is looking more like a rooster to me. What do you guys think? [​IMG]

    If both birds in the picture are 13 weeks old then yes definitely a rooster with a comb like that

    But, the 'other' bird is a different breed - some are slower to develop. If your bird is truly a red sex link, it is red so it's a pullet. red sex link males are white with some red on them.

    I hope so @drumstick diva ... It is really aggressive though. Chasing the other into the hen house constantly then coming out on its own..

    Hello here is an update of my chick.. i have asked the breeder and they said the rooster the chick came from was a big red.. not sure if that is a breed or not.. the hen was an isa brown or leghorn.. [​IMG][/IMG]

    That is definitely a cockerel! It is not a red sex-link other wise it would be a pullet.

    Thanks for your advice.. it made some noise this morning but hasn't really crowed.. should it be crowing by now it is 16 weeks old

    My cockerel is 18 weeks and not crowing yet.... but they can start a whole lot earlier or a whole lot later
