Feathers are still growing at the base of the tail but they are still in the shaft I can't see if they are pointy or not. This chick feathered slower than the rest and my friend that gave it too me thinks it is a roo. I am not experienced to tell anything..

Here's one of my 10 week old boys:

The size and color of the wattles is usually the easiest way for me to sex them. The girls will often have pinkish combs pretty early too, but the shape tends to be less defined. Pullets usually have better lacing too.
 
This is great as she is one of my daughter's favorites.
She is giving them all very fancy names and if this one was a pullet was going to be named Giselle Venecia. My daughter is 6 and she has quite an imagination
