I'm waiting to candle when I put them into lockdown, since I have about 60 eggs or so in there, but my button/kings quail are both sitting on nests of 9-12 eggs and my gambel quail have nests of 12ish. We'll see how it goes as 3 of the 4 are first time brooders.

12/12 still looking perfect! Veining and movement in the ones I can see through (blue eggssssss will torture me)

I had three early losses (one early quitter, two no development/possibly infertile). The others I’ve candled look fine from what I can tell (so 35 left).

I don’t have an issue with blue eggs but brown eggs are harder, and my OE eggs are virtually impossible. I think I see veining toward the air cell, though.

I just candled. One quitter, leaving 17. I could see movement in a lot of them.

Turns out the flashlight on my phone is much superior to the NR 360's built-in candler -- allowing me to see into the blue eggs easily and to at least see a bit of veining in the Marans eggs.
